Letter to Philip Burton, in part: "For Christ's sake, man, don't bother your head about what you read in the Times. There was nothing objectionable in it that I could see. Rather, it was a kindly reference. Tho' you didn't act and the whole play, you did a good deal of it; & tho' I didn't laugh uproariously, I was amused. I was too intently interested to laugh a lot. And it is true to say that I wished I have had a rehearsal of P. Dust, such as yours, before I sent the original script to the publishers. The one reference I didn't like was the reference, not to me, but to the great O'Neill, who wasn't really 'a Cantankerous fellow' neither was he a very charming man; & who did not scorn a tip or two." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed by O'Casey, who adds his surname and address to reverse flap.
