Description

King of Great Britain and Ireland (1765-1837) from 1830 to 1837, he earned the sobriquet 'Sailor King' for his youthful service in the Royal Navy. ALS signed “William R,” one page, 7.5 x 9, no date. Short letter of response, in part: "I am to acknowledge yours of yesterday and return its enclosures. I have no observation to make other than that I have every inclination…to give Captain Shippard employment." In fine condition, with mild staining to the top blank area.
