Fantastic original pencil concept sketch of Donald Duck with Huey, Dewey, and Louie on an off-white 18 x 12 sheet, signed in the lower right corner in pencil by Frank Follmer. The large, detailed drawing shows Donald and his nephews outside an Ice Cream Shoppe. In fine condition, with uniform toning and light staining along the top edge.
Follmer worked at Walt Disney Studios from the late 1930s through the early 1940s, assisting on projects like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and Fantasia. He alienated Walt Disney when he organized a strike against the studio, and ultimately left to join the Navy.
