LS signed “Albert, Acting Great Master,” one page, 7.75 x 12.75, April 24, 1846. Written from Buckingham Palace, a letter to Lt. Colonel Woods, in part: "The Sovereign of the Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath, having been graciously pleased to appoint you a Companion of that Order I have The Queen's Commands to transmit to you herewith the Ribband and Badge of that Class of the Order, and at the same time to announce to you Her Majesty's gracious permission that you may wear the same." In fine condition, with intersecting folds.
