Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 17.75 x 14, December 1, 1921. President Harding appoints Ralph D. Sessions as "Postmaster at Palmyra, in the County of Wayne, State of New York." Neatly signed at the conclusion by President Harding and countersigned by Postmaster General Will Hays, who later earned notoriety as head of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America, in which capacity he oversaw enforcement of the 'Production Code' that imposed strict censorship guidelines on all Hollywood films for decades. In fine condition, with light toning from prior display.
