Extraordinary matte-finish 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo of Gorky working at his desk, boldly signed in ink in Cyrillic, "M. Gorky." Addressed on the reverse in another hand to Richard Stern in Vienna, and postmarked at Capri. In fine condition, with light creasing to the lower left corner. A decidedly scarce format from the esteemed Russian author.
