Black-bodied S101 Standard Telecaster-style electric guitar with a sunburst finish, signed on the white pickguard in blue felt tip, "Eddie Van Halen, Van Halen '05," and on the body in black felt tip, "David Lee Roth, 2004." In fine condition, with some trivial scuffs to pickguard.
Beginning in 1984, Brennan followed and saw Van Halen 15 times in different cities. The passionate autograph collector recalled, “Van Halen opened for Black Sabbath in 1977 and from then on, until David Lee Roth left, I saw every tour.” One time, at the Meadowlands in 1984, he was hanging out with Julian Lennon. “We were in a bathroom, and Eddie was walking around carrying a bottle of Jack Daniels and saying how he was a better piano player than guitar player. The whole band was fawning all over Julian because they were huge fans of his dad. All I cared about was autographs. I was there for Van Halen.” From The John Brennan In-person Autograph Collection.
