Vintage program card for a Friendship 7 dinner-dance presented by the Launch Team on April 23, 1962, 4 x 5.75, signed in fountain pen and ballpoint by the the Mercury 7 astronauts: "M. S. Carpenter," "J. H. Glenn, Jr.," "Virgil I. Grissom," "Leroy S. Cooper, Jr.," "W. M. Schirra, Jr.," "D. K. Slayton," and "A. B. Shepard, Jr." (upside down). The schedule of events on the reverse playfully imitates a NASA mission plan. The reverse is also signed by Glenn's wife, Annie Glenn. Handsomely double-matted and framed with glass on both sides, and a Project Mercury FDC, to an overall size of 9.5 x 15.25. In fine condition, with light soiling, and a central horizontal fold.
