Lovely black zip-up dress, screen-worn by Shirley MacLaine in her role as Fran Kubelik in the 1960 romantic comedy-drama The Apartment. The inside waist features a Paramount Pictures tag, marked "Shirley McLaine [sic]," and a gold stamp, "Property of Paramount Pictures, Ladies Wardrobe." In fine condition. At the 33rd Academy Awards, The Apartment was nominated for ten Oscars and won five, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay. MacLaine and co-star Jack Lemmon both earned Oscar nominations and won Golden Globe Awards for their performances.
