Original vintage color glossy 5 x 5 photo of President John F. Kennedy meeting with Bob Hope and his family in the Oval Office in 1963, taken by official White House photographer Cecil W. Stoughton. President Kennedy presented Hope with the Congressional Gold Medal on September 11, 1963, in recognition of his services to the country as an entertainer during World War II. Reverse bears "A Kodak Paper" watermarks and a pencil notation, "C294-1-63." In very fine condition. This photograph derives from Stoughton's personal collection, and was retained by him as his own file copy. Provenance: The Estate of Cecil W. Stoughton, Bonhams.
