Alfred Douglas

British writer (1870-1945) who first came to prominence in the 1890s as the young intimate companion of Oscar Wilde. ALS, one page, 7 x 8.75, St. Ann’s Court letterhead, August 29, 1941. Letter to Mrs. Le Brasseur, in part: “Here is the St. Jude leaflet I promised to send you. I also send you a pamphlet about Ireland & the war, & a copy of my sonnet on Winston Churchill reproduced from the Daily Mail of July 8th.” Velvet-matted and framed with a photo of Douglas and Wilde to an overall size of 24.5 x 18.25. In fine condition.
