Large vintage ballpoint signatures, "George Harrison," "John Lennon," and "Paul McCartney,” on a lightly-lined white 7 x 4.75 sheet. A collector's date notation of August 23, 1968, written on the reverse shows through in the lower left. Handsomely double-matted and framed with a portrait of the three Beatles together while shooting the 'I Am the Walrus' video to an overall size of 17.5 x 23. In fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from noted Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo, in part: "These signatures were obtained at Abbey Road Studios on August 23, 1968, while The Beatles were in the midst of recording The White Album. The day before, Ringo Starr quit the band, only to return 2 weeks later, hence the absence of his signature. On the day the signatures were obtained, the remaining band members worked on the song 'Back In The U.S.S.R.' Signatures from 1968 are extremely rare and desirable." In Ringo's absence, McCartney famously filled in on drums for 'Back in the U.S.S.R.' and 'Dear Prudence.' A marvelous display boasting signatures that date to a period of strife within the band.
