Minimum Bid: $300.00
Sold Price: $11,837.18 (includes buyer's premium)

Description

Incredible silk long-sleeve shirt personally worn by Prince during his Musicology Live 2004ever tour of North America. The collared snap-button shirt is off-white with blue polka dots, and features a label sewn inside lower placket, “Custom Made by Arturo Padilla.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, in part: "I came into ownership of this top when the company I owned edited a full concert video of the [Musicology] tour. This top is worn during several of the songs played during the concert. Much to Prince's disappointment the blue polka dots showed up as black dots on screen. Prince being the perfectionist he is, insisted that the film be color corrected to reflect the blue color. In order to get the color exactly right he sent the original shirt he wore during the concert. The shirt was taken to a colorist and the black dots that showed up on film were changed to the exact shade of blue that the shirt actually is. This is that shirt. Prince was a very generous man and gifted me the shirt."
