Bill Evans

Innovative and highly regarded jazz pianist (1929-1980) who worked briefly with Miles Davis before forming his own trio in the late 1950s. Plagued by a decades-long struggle with hepatitis and drug addition, Evans died at the age of 51. Original color 10 x 21.5 poster promoting a concert for the Bill Evans Trio at the Temple of Music and Art in Tucson, Arizona, on April 28, 1979, showing a desolate road with a green road sign that reads 'Bill Evans, Straight Ahead,' signed in black felt tip, "Bill Evans, '79," "Joe LaBarbera," and "Marc Johnson." In very good condition, with scattered creasing.
