Handwritten note, signed "P," on a Cavallo, Ruffalo & Fargnoli agency card, one page, 8.5 x 3.5, circa January 1986. Prince pens a thank-you note to saxophonist Eric Leeds, in full: "Thank u 4 everythang." In very good condition, with trimmed edges, a central vertical fold, small tear to top edge, tape to two edges, and some mild spots of staining. From the last week of December 1985 through mid-January 1986, Leeds was involved in a multitude of recording sessions with Prince at Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles. One afternoon a small box was delivered to Leeds at his hotel. Inside was a small statuette of a young boy playing a saxophone, with this accompanying note thanking Eric for his involvement in the sessions. The sessions were comprised mostly of unreleased instrumental material, but also included some incidental music for Prince’s film Under the Cherry Moon.
