Fabulous off-white 14 x 12 presentation mat prepared by the studio to exhibit an original cel, prominently signed on the mount in bold green artist’s crayon, “Walt Disney.” A light pencil caption, “From Mickey Mouse,” is below the image as issued. Now displayed in the mat is a high-quality dye transfer showing Mickey twirling a lasso around his body. Beginning in the mid 1940s, the Disney Studio created these dye transfers to give away for publicity and to VIPs that visited the studio. It was the best type of cel art reproduction of the time and due to their specialized purpose, production was extremely limited. The presentation as a whole is attractively matted and framed to an overall size of 20.5 x 18.5. In fine condition. An exceptionally appealing, boldly signed, and uninscribed Disney offering.
