Description
Boldly penned AQS on an off-white 6.25 x 2.75 slip, signed at the conclusion, “Julia Ward Howe, September, 1899.” Howe pens a line from her most famous patriotic verse, ‘The Battle Hymn of the Republic.’ In full: “‘Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.’” Nicely double-matted and framed with an engraved portrait to an overall size of 12.25 x 16. In fine condition, with a central vertical fold. A fabulous example of this iconic quote. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
