Unique and remarkable handwritten NASA attendance sheet hand-signed by 23 astronauts, one lightly lined yellow page, 8.25 x 10.75, March 31, 1964. This one-of-a-kind document, evidently a roster from a meeting at NASA, gathers the signatures of nearly two dozen pioneering spacemen representing the entire history of NASA missions, from the earliest Mercury missions to the final Apollo missions. Seven moonwalkers and all three members of the epochal Apollo 11 mission are represented, as are a number of rarities that have become notoriously difficult to obtain. In addition to signing his name, each astronaut has also given his NASA department as “CA.” Represented: R. F. Gordon, Jr., Roger B. Chaffee (1967 Apollo 1 fire casualty), Rusty Schweickart, J. P. Lour [unidentified; evidently a NASA staffer], Michael Collins, Walter Cunningham, Wally Schirra, Thomas P. Stafford, Donn F. Eisele, Buzz Aldrin (Apollo 11 moonwalker), Edward H. White, II (1967 Apollo 1 fire casualty), Ted Freeman, Bill Anders, Alan Bean (Apollo 12 moonwalker), C[lifton] Williams, Dave Scott (Apollo 15 moonwalker), Alan Shepard (Apollo 14 moonwalker), Charlie Bassett, John Young (Apollo 16 moonwalker), James A. McDivitt, Neil Armstrong (Apollo 11 moonwalker; hand-printed signature), Scott Carpenter (surname hand-printed), E. A. Cernan (hand-printed pencil signature), and J. A. Lovell (pencil). A very subtle hint of gentle, even toning, otherwise very fine, immaculate condition. Superbly preserved and one of the largest and rarest combinations of vintage astronauts you’re ever likely to encounter—a blue-chip treasure for the advanced space collector! COA Scott Cornish and R&R COA.
