Collection of seventeen photos, consisting mostly of official glossy 8 x 10 and 10 x 8 NASA photos, each signed in various ink types by several notable research pilots from the Dryden Flight Research Center and the X-15 program, with several inscribed, including: Milt Thompson, William ‘Pete’ Knight, Bill Dana (2), Einar Enevoldson (2), John Manke (2), Gary E. Krier, Fitzhugh L. Fulton, Forrest S. Petersen (2), Robert M. White, Robert A. Rushworth (2), and James W. Wood (2). Also includes a TLS from Petersen, dated August 3, 1976, signed “F. S. Petersen.” Several of the photos bear photography and biography captions affixed to the reverse. In overall fine condition, with trivial creasing and tape remnants. Accompanied by six unsigned official 8 x 10 and 10 x 8 NASA photos depicting the X-15 aircraft and its pilots, as well as an X-24B Flight Request packet, dated September 13, 1974, annotated at the top in pencil, “Ken, this is our next flight plan.” From the Leon Ford Collection.
