LA Radio Station KHJ’s copy of You Don’t Mess Around With Jim
Description

Radio station KHJ’s promotional copy of You Don’t Mess Around with Jim album signed on the front cover in black felt tip, “Thanks, Jim Croce.” In very good condition, with scattered toning and foxing to covers and gatefold, several radio station labels affixed to front cover, mild ‘ring of wear’ to back cover, and an old tape repair to gatefold. The record is included. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original radio station employee who obtained the signature, which reads, in part: “I worked for KHJ Radio from 1970 until 1982. I was there when Jim Croce came into our Sunset Blvd Studios and signed this record.” KHJ in Los Angeles was the first station in the country to play Croce’s album, with the album’s first single, ‘You Don’t Mess Around with Jim’ written on a label on the front cover for the DJ. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RR Auction COA.
