Liverpool Institute High School Directory from 1954, 3 x 4.5, 56 pages. Two of the future Fab Four are listed in the directory, “Harrison, G.,” on page 41 and on page 45, “McCartney, J. P.” Directory lists each student’s form, house, date of birth, and year of entry into the Institute. In very good condition, with moderate creasing and handling wear, light toning to inside pages, and owner’s name written on front cover and inside. McCartney was one of only four of the 90 examinees who passed their 11-plus exam to gain admission to the Institute. In 1954, while taking the bus from his home in the suburb of Speke to the Institute, McCartney met George Harrison, who lived nearby. RRAuction COA.
