Autograph endorsement signed by King George IV, penned boldly at the top of a handwritten letter addressed to the king by the Marquis of Anglesey. The king’s endorsement, in full: “Trust entirely app’d, GR.” The letter, one page, both sides, 7.25 x 8.75, November 6, 1827, sent from the Office of Ordnance, reads, in part: “The Marquis of Anglesey has the honor of laying before The King for His Majesty’s approval, the general Order that He proposes to give out, in order to make known to the Office of the Royal Regiment of Artillery, His Majesty’s most gracious and considerate attention to their distinguished services.” In fine condition, with creasing to the upper right corner, and a small repair to the lower right corner.
